We are excited to announce that a new group of Digital Health Graduate Certificate students at Mohawk College are seeking potential projects for their Capstone course starting in the spring (May 2025)! The Capstone projects will be completed in groups of 2 to 4 students over two semesters starting in the spring semester (May 2025) and concluding at the end of the fall semester (December 2025). The spring course will focus on students choosing a project, collecting requirements, formulating a design, doing some project planning and building a very rudimentary prototype system. During the fall semester, students will complete the implementation, test and deploy their final projects.

Cambrian College

This capstone project is part of the Business Analytics (BAPG), Health Analytics (HAGC), and Crime Analytics (CAGC) graduate certificate programs at Cambrian College. The students will participate in various projects involving different types of data, ranging from qualitative data gathering, quantitative data and analysis, technical projects, or other projects that align with their skillsets. This could include but is not limited to large and/or complex data, gathering data, conducting program evaluation, development and deployment of surveys, help with funding applications, create dashboards and analysis, and work with various types of data to support decisions using analytics in a wide array of industries. Students can research, apply analytical models, methodologies, and tools learned in the program to analyze data. Faculty mentors will work with students to ensure the capstone project reflects, and encompasses, best practices for big data analytics and project management.

Collaborate with students from York University’s Cybersecurity program on a project-based experience tailored to your organizational needs. Project Overview Students will work on a customized cybersecurity project designed to address a specific challenge or opportunity within your organization. Possible project topics include, but are not limited to: Developing a Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC). Cyber risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Incident response and disaster recovery planning. Threat intelligence and vulnerability analysis. Security architecture and system hardening. Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks. Students will engage with your organization virtually using communication tools of your choice. They are available to contribute up to 39 hours from June 19th to August 14th , ensuring a focused and efficient collaboration.

As part of their curriculum, students engage in real-world projects, honing their skills while delivering tangible results for external partners. Learners, equipped with proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau, seek projects encompassing data analysis, programming, app development, and more. Employers are invited to facilitate this experiential learning journey by providing guidance, regular communication, and constructive feedback to student teams. My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.

This experience focuses on equipping learners with the skills to design and implement adapted physical activity programs tailored for individuals with diverse abilities. Learners will develop practical instructional and leadership skills, enabling them to create inclusive and effective physical activity sessions. By applying their knowledge, learners can contribute to projects that enhance accessibility and participation in physical activities for people of all ages and abilities.

Program Overview and Partnership Invitation Document This program has been run for several years. We work with 30+ partners every term. We will not be able to respond to messages on Riipen in a timely manner. Quick summary: students take this course to develop a software application (web, mobile or desktop) for various use cases. Previous examples include mobile apps for finding travelers in a specific community and web-based application for connecting a non-profit to volunteers. If the project information is of interest, please go through the steps mentioned in the document. We will not be able to accept requests here as the proposals need to be chosen by the students in September.
